How do I reset my password?
On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?". Enter your account email address and tap "Send Reset Link". Check your inbox for an email from support@vplan.ai (also check spam/junk). Click the link — it's valid for 1 hour — and enter your new password. If you don't receive the email within 5 minutes, contact support@vplan.ai.
Why am I asked to confirm my email before exporting?
New accounts confirm their email address once, before their first export or share link, so exports and share links belong to real accounts. We send the link when you sign up (check spam/junk too); it works for 48 hours. Open it, then go back and export again. If it has expired or you can't find it, use "Send the link again" in the prompt. Apple and Google sign-ins are already confirmed, and so are accounts made before this step was added. If you change your email address, you confirm the new one the same way.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@vplan.ai from your account's email address and ask us to delete it (Delete Account in Settings points you there too). If you pay for Pro or Business, cancel the subscription first: in the billing portal for web subscriptions, or in your device's subscription settings for App Store ones. Your account, all stored projects, and personal data are then permanently deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This cannot be undone. Exported files already saved to your device or third-party apps are not affected.
Is my scan data stored securely?
Yes. Cloud-synced data travels over HTTPS and is stored with Supabase, encrypted at rest by our hosting providers. Database rules (row-level security) keep each project private to its owner (and, for a project you move into a Business team, that team's members) until you turn on a share link, and photos sit in a private storage bucket served through short-lived signed links. We do not share, sell, or use your scan data for any purpose other than providing the service. See vplan.ai/security for how the service is secured and vplan.ai/privacy for the full Privacy Policy.
Can I share my floor plans with team members?
Yes, in two ways. First, you can generate a public share link (read-only) by tapping the share icon on any project — anyone with the link can view the floor plan without needing an account. Second, in the web editor you can pin comments to spots on a saved plan, and on Pro and Business turn on review for a share link so others can add comments, arrows and clouds to the plan without editing it. Business plan subscribers can also invite team members to a team workspace and share projects with them (see "How do I share projects with my team?").
How do I share projects with my team?
On the Business plan, create a team on the Team page (Settings → Team) and invite people by email as admin, editor or viewer. Then, on the Projects page in the web app, choose "Move to" your team on a project's card. It stays your project: the team's owner, admins and editors can open and edit the plan, comment and add photos, and viewers can look and comment, while only you can share it, make review links, move it out of the team or delete it (you can also give it to a teammate: see "Can I give a team project to someone else on my team?"). Team projects show a "Team" badge, with All / Mine / Team filters. Saved versions are shared with the team (version history is on Pro and Business), and each person deletes or pins only the photos they added. When teammates have the same team project open in the editor, their initials show in the top bar (hover them to see who is on which level) with their pointers on the plan; if one of them saves while you have it open, a notice offers Reload to see their changes (the last save wins, nothing is merged). Your team loses access while the team owner isn't on Business, and the team owner can take any project out of the team. Team projects open in the web app; the iPhone app shows only your own projects.
Can I give a team project to someone else on my team?
Yes, on the Business plan, in the web app. On the Projects page, choose "Transfer to…" on a team project's card and pick the new owner: the team's owner, an admin or an editor (viewers can't own team projects; make them an editor on the Team page first). The project's owner can do this, and so can the team's owner for any team project. The new owner then controls the project: sharing, review links, moving it out of the team and deleting it. It stays in the team, so the previous owner keeps access through their team role, and its comments, saved versions and photos stay with it (photos stay stored in the accounts of the people who added them). Share links and photo links already sent keep working until the new owner turns sharing off. The transfer is recorded in the activity log. Projects outside a team can't be transferred: move it into your team first.
Can I see who exported or shared a project?
Yes, on the Business plan. Open Settings → Activity log in the web app (team owners and admins also find it on the Team page). It lists, newest first, exports made in the web app or through the API, share links, client review and presentations turned on or off, photo links reset, projects moved into or out of a team, given to another owner or deleted, API keys created or revoked, team members invited, removed or given another role, and changes to the team's price book and finish library, each with the date, who did it and the project. Your own actions show your email; a team owner sees teammates by the email they were invited with, and everyone else's show as "A teammate". A team's owner and admins also see the team's activity. Filter by kind of activity or by project, page through 50 at a time, or download the list as CSV. Entries can't be edited or deleted and are kept for a year. Exports made in the iPhone app aren't listed yet.
What data does vPlan AR collect?
We collect your email address, account name, and the floor plan data you create. If you opt in, we collect anonymised usage analytics (screen views, feature usage) to improve the app. Crash reports (also opt-in) include device model, OS version, and a stack trace — never your floor plan content. You can toggle analytics and crash reporting independently in Settings → Privacy. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
